Howell Brown III, a 13-year-old from the mountains of North Carolina is a smart, articulate, and funny boy. His thick southern accent, his smile, and love for cars and trains makes him child-like, but he has grown up spending most of his time with adults due to his condition. Howell has endured a rare form of stage four brain cancer for several years, and after months of treatment was also told that cancer was found on his spine. Today, doctors believe Howell is on the road to recovery. With the help of his single mother, Sue, and support from local charities, Howell tries to live as a normal and healthy young teenager.
